Receivers are distributed free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons who are unsure about the compatibility of their own hearing device should inquire with their audiologist.

For Patrons with Limited Mobility
Accessible Entrances
Ramps are located on both the North and South sides of the main (East) entrance. The furthest north door offers assisted opening and delayed closing. Patrons may drop off and pick up on Channing Drive. We recommend dropping off at the north or south ends of Channing Drive for quick access to ramps.
Accessible Seating
Accessible seating is available in each of our performance spaces for patrons who are not able to transfer out of their mobility devices. Tickets for accessible seating are available online, in person, or by phone.
Elevators are located on the north and south sides of the lobby. All levels of the Thelma Gaylord Theatre are accessible by elevator except for Upper Orchestra and Upper Balcony. The Little Theatre and CitySpace Theatre are accessible by elevator.
Accessible Restrooms
Every public restroom in the Civic Center Music Hall has an accessible stall. Restrooms are available on every level of the Thelma Gaylord lobby, except Upper Balcony.
A family restroom is located on the north side of the main level and is equipped with an adjusable height changing table, suitable for adults.
Accessible Parking
18 dedicated accessible parking spaces surround the Civic Center. All paid street parking spots are free for cars displaying a valid disability permit. There are an additional 17 accessible parking spaces at the Arts District Garage located at 431 W Main Street.
Mobility Device Policy
Mobility aids that cannot be stored safely within the patron's seating area and wheelchairs for those patrons who transfer to a theatre seat will be stored outside the theatre as close as possible to a patron's seat by the nearest usher. At intermission, ushers will make every effort to check in with patrons who may need their devices. At the conclusion of the performance, ushers will return the mobility aid to the patron once the aisles have cleared.
Courtesy Wheelchairs
The Civic Center Music Hall has a courtesy wheelchair available for patrons on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons must have a companion assist in maneuvering the wheelchair around the venue. Patrons should inquire at the reception desk in the main lobby.
For Patrons with Other Accessibility Needs
Patrons with Sensory Sensitivities
The Civic Center has partnered with KultureCity to become a Certified Sensory Inclusive Venue. Civic Center staff and volunteers have been trained by leading medical professionals on how to recognize patrons with sensory needs and how to handle a sensory overload situation. Quiet areas are available on floors 2-4 outside of the Thelma Gaylord Theatre for patrons who may be experiencing overstimulation. Additionally, sensory bags equipped with noise-canceling headphones, a KCVIP lanyard, fidget tools, and a sensory communication card are available for checkout at the reception desk in the main lobby. Families and friends can also download the free KultureCity App to view available amenities, where to access them, and a social story to preview what to expect when enjoying a show at the Civic Center.
Service Animal Policy
Service animals are permitted wherever people are allowed, unless the animal poses a direct threat to the health and safety of others, creates a fundamental alteration (such as interfering with the performance or patron experience), is not housebroken, or is not under the control of the person with the disability, as determined by management.
A service animal must be a dog that is trained to perform a task for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Under limited circumstances, a miniature horse may be permitted as a service animal. Patrons who have questions about ADA definitions or requirements should visit ada.gov.
Emotional support animals, comfort animals, therapy animals, and pets are not permitted.
Booster Seats
A limited number of booster seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis for performances in the Thelma Gaylord Theatre. Booster seats may be checked out at the reception desk in the main lobby.
